This artist book pattern shows you how to create one of the Turkish map fold books from my shop called “Take Courage.” A Turkish map fold book is a variation on the Hungarian map fold with slight twist to how the basic structure is folded and put together into a text block. Besides getting the 4 page step by step illustrated directions on how to make this map fold structure you will also receive a ready to cut out illustrated book and as a bonus, a black and white coloring page pattern for you to color your own Turkish map fold project. My testers have said, “Lots of fun”

This book is a advanced beginner project, it is a little more difficult than the other lotus book patterns in my shop. I have tried to make the directions concise and easy to read with step-by-step illustrations. My testers have said it took them around an hour to complete, not counting the coloring.

The pattern kit includes eight A4, letter size JPEG files in two PDFs:
• 4 pages of step-by-step illustrated directions
• 3 pages/two-sided illustrated book to print out and assemble
• 1 page of a black and white illustration you can color to create your own Turkish map fold project.

A reminder that this is not an actual assembled book but a book to print out and put together. Users need just the print outs of the files and a few simple tools: a craft knife, scissors, glue and a bone folder or spoon to assemble the book.
